Becky, an industrial interior designer and Garrett, owner of an international decor company, wanted a uniquely-themed wedding that would reflect not only their bright, fun personalities but that would also compliment their wedding venue, the newly opened Autocamp on Cape Cod.
Working with Hummingbird Bridal and Events, they designed a unique tiki-themed wedding day, sourcing exotic florals with Fleur Events and designing custom bamboo furniture (including a bamboo tiki arch for their ceremony) with Exquisite Events and Peak Event Rentals to create the perfect luxury tiki lounge. All 110 of their guests spent the weekend in luxury Airstreams and gathered around fire pits at night with s'more kits and local beer. On the wedding day, custom tiki cocktails, stacked pupu platters and Island Creek Oyster raw bar set the stage for cocktail hour that flowed into a free-form tapas-style dinner party (no formal seating or plated dinner.) Guests danced the night away on the top floor of the open-air clubhouse. This wedding was an opportunity for all of the vendors to take a fresh-eyed approach to planning a non-traditional wedding in a non-traditional venue space.
