We had the distinct honor of planning with the most incredible couple in the most incredible location this year and what an honor it was to see Katherine and Harley's wedding featured in the Best of Boston Weddings edition of @BostonMagazine.
The groom was the third generation to grow up on this 200-acre horse farm in Stockbridge, MA. Surrounded by rolling pastures and flanked by mountains in the distance, Harley and Katherine tied the knot at the top of a hill under a wedding arch that had blessed many happy marriages before.
By the time the wedding day came around, I (Mandy) had spent so much fun planning time on this property with this family that I felt like I was among my own family. 160' of tenting, custom flooring, art installations and unique lighting design were just the start of this incredible day.
In honor of the groom's fearless tendencies (as a race car driver, a pilot and an equestrian) we brought in a vintage biplane adorned with clouds of flowers from @FleurEvents. The draped art installation from @socialightboston was created to reflect the concept of air stream and custom leather key toggle favors were hand-crafted to symbolize the @Hermés bridles and saddles worn by the family horses.
A priceless horse carriage designed by @Bugatti (built in 1910, one of only two in existence) carried the groom to the ceremony aisle and the bride followed behind in a carriage built by Buggati for his own daughter.
As a last minute addition to the day, the groom asked whether we might like to include any of the family's vintage cars in the photos of the day (Yes, Harley, we want to see that Triumph!) Resulting in the perfect "getaway car" for the bride and groom following the ceremony.
Guests danced the night away with the always impeccable @Ripcord Band and as a final surprise, the band led guests to a surprise After Party Speakeasy we built onsite ("The Pink Pony Club") where the party continued until the wee hours.
I am so desperately in love with this amazing wedding and this incredible couple. Cheers forever to Katherine and Harley - you were the absolute best teammates in planning this one-of-a-kind weekend.
