With the opening of the newest luxury venue in New England, we were dying to photography the gorgeous old world/modern luxury interior with an eye for how a couple might find inspiration in this beautiful venue that has been brought back to life.
Shepherd's Run is a 36 acre estate that up until five years ago had been abandoned and left for ruin. Previously the manor of Rush and Elizabeth Sturges, this one gorgeous haven for wild meadows and shepherds had gone to ruin until now owners, Ryan Schoen and Ashley Morgan, heard rumblings of it being for sale. In the years that ensued, they poured every ounce of love and passion into recreating the cozy, luxurious and secretive hideaway that is Shepherd's Run. Now operating as a winery, inn and event space, the manor offers the type of rustic glamor that you can only find in New England or in the far off rolling hill of the French countryside and the moment we laid eyes on it's reclaimed beauty, we knew we needed to explore every nook and cranny and document its beauty. Some of the top vendors in New England gathered for a creative day at Shepherd's Run run by Mandy Connor, owner and lead designer of Hummingbird Events and Design. The vision for the day was simply to highlight the concept of rustic New England luxury, exploring the contrast of organic beauty and refined elegance.
