Omg stop. I can't - it's too much. These photos and this couple are on fire!
Emme and Matt were married last year but kindly offered to join the fabulous Abby Lorenz Photography, Bittersweet Gardens and myself on a private farm in Plymouth, MA for a day of celebrating their marriage (and expanding family!) through a styled shoot.
These two smolder with love - it's written all over their faces and in the way they hold each other, whisper secrets to each other and in the way they make each other laugh. We were truly honored to have the opportunity to spend the day with them down on the farm.
"Paddington" the horse watched us from across the yard and whinnied his excitement over this odd scene - Emme, surrounded by chickens frenzied over the pieces of popcorn that we threw them. As she laughed, standing in front of a rustic New England barn wearing a gold dress from Badgley Mischka, she was the shining light on a rainy day. She wore a crown of fresh greenery made by Julie Raymond (Bittersweet Gardens) and she just glowed with love and happiness.
Later, Abby grabbed a shawl she had knit a few months earlier and an oil-brim hat from her car. Coupled with a soft tulle skirt from Rent the Runway, Emme's "Down on the Farm" wedding attire was complete.
Special thanks to Julie Raymond for letting us use her farm, to Paddington the Horse and a dozen unnamed chickens for their starring roles, and to Abby Lorenz who called us up and said - "let's head to Julie's and we'll play and shoot and we'll see what happens," because that's how magical afternoons happen when you're a Boston wedding planner.
