From having Abe’s 90-year-old “Abuela” give the blessing during the ceremony to Meg wearing her mother’s wedding dress on her wedding day, these were just some of the endless ways they paid homage to the amazing individuals who meant so much to them.

As guests took the glass elevator to the second floor for dancing, a swirling milky way sky and glittering LED dance floor transported them to another world. Even the walls were lit with the glow of stars as "Aura" (the band) created an otherworldly dance party.
To Meg and Abe - thank you for trusting us with your wedding weekend. You are such special humans and you made all of us feel like we were your own family. The Hummingbird Team adores you forever.
Meg and Abe live an active lifestyle. Meg and Abe live the kind of lifestyle that some professional athletes would be inspired by. For fun they enjoy runing Iron Man Competitions. On their days off, they compete in marathons. And even on their wedding day they started the day with a 5K warm-up just to get the blood moving. In-between marathons and triathlons and near constant training, they still find the time to be the most wonderful, caring and kind humans imaginable. And then you meet their families and you realize where all of this kindness and humility comes from.
From day one of planning, they wanted a day that was FUN and authentic but also outside-of-the-box. Their trust in me was "everything" as I proposed a candlelit wedding ceremony on the waterfront of the ICA in Boston followed by "Dinner in the Woods" (inside the foyer of the ICA) and then upstairs to "A Disco Party in Outer Space." The ICA has very strict rules about vendor set-up and we had only 1-hour to create a woodland forest from scratch (reflective of Abe's family roots in Vermont) complete with a ski lounge and working fireplaces. The Catered Affair designed a roaming dinner party that encouraged guests to explore the "woods" along candlelit pathways through the ICA. And both Fleur Events and Form Creative were exceptional creative partners to us in helping us bring our wild design vision to reality.
