A Private Home Wedding – Seacoast NH

It is truly an honor to be a destination wedding planner and to have the opportunity to travel the globe to plan alongside amazing wedding couples. The details from G+P’s wedding day told the story of this beautiful family and all of the happy memories to come as they build their new house on this seaside property. To bless this plot of land with the new beginnings of a happy marriage was such a joy to witness.

G+P wanted to tell their intimate wedding day story in a personal and authentic way. We wove their NYC heritage into the excitement of breaking ground on this new plot of land along the coast in NH where Grace’s family will enjoy many beautiful memories to come.

Challenges in Planning a Private Home Wedding

The challenges in planning a wedding on a raw and undeveloped plot of land can be extensive. Thankfully, we have endless experience in the development and structural needs required to build a wedding from the ground up on private property. During the year and a half spent planning with this wonderful family, we were called in to meet with landscapers, electricians, architects and property managers – all before we even got into the excitement of planning for the actual wedding.

The Wedding Week!

The wedding week itself involved bringing in 8 industrial generators (the energy needs for this wedding were substantial!) along with building a glass tent (also known as a Conservatory tent) with a full, leveled flooring system and HVAC that we ran under the tent floor. Add to this that we were also battling the impending Tropical Storm Debbie who was barreling along the coast, drenching us with days of rain and mud.

The day of the wedding came and you would never know the challenges faced and overcome. The beautifully manicured property was dried and perfectly landscaped. The sun shone brightly as the HVAC cooled the tent, and from miles away you could hear the joyful songs of Ripcord, our band for the evening.

It Takes A Village

I am so grateful to all of my vendor partners for working tirelessly to bring this wedding day vision to fruition and to Sean Thomas Photography and Harrison Films for capturing every beautiful detail and all of the personal artistry that went into this celebration of love.

We never quite know where the globe will take us next and that is precisely the joy of being a destination wedding planner.
