Yes, I am theatrical and dramatic. I was born in New Jersey and spent many, many weekends making the drive up to New York City where my dad and I would wait in line at TKTS to see what amazing Broadway shows were listed on “the boards” for same-day tickets.
I learned every word of every song in Les Mis when I was in first grade. Second grade brought the likes of Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Evita. Over the course of my childhood I would see over 150 Broadway shows and many more Summer Stock at the little seaside theater at the Jersey Shore. I was already a dramatic child, prone to a wild imagination, and this simply fed my love of song, design, costuming, production and the fantasy that elevates the guest experience. It came as no surprise to anyone when I became an event designer. Every few months, I feel the need to shake things up and to fully indulge my theatrical side with a photoshoot that lets me be my fully eccentric self, and this October was no different. Presenting for your enjoyment: “The Season of the Witch, A Dark Magic Feminine Energy” - a photoshoot focusing on women’s empowerment and unapologetic ferocity.
As a side note, we sourced each unique piece for the tablescape from the newest collection from H&M Home, supplementing with one-of-a-kind pieces from local nursery and interior design boutique, Mahoney's.
The design is a mixture of organic textures, seasonally inspired by nature, mixed with sustainable goods and hardware, as we hope Mother Nature would have designed her own tablescapes.
