“Weddings in the Time of Covid”

What do Weddings in the Time of Covid look like? This is exactly the question that Marina Melnikova, Owner of Zena Rose Salon in Beacon Hill, asked herself and her team. They envisioned gorgeous and intricate masks that don’t “hide,” they “highlight.” They envisioned fashion that embraces the new normal rather than to pretend everything is as it was. And they envisioned bold brides and bridesmaids who are ready to embrace change. So to show off this gorgeous concept, they decided to host a social-distancing fashion show that brought this fantasy to life.

Exactly 25 guests (including models) were in attendance for this beautiful runway show and photoshoot that showcased these new ideas surrounding weddings and celebrations during a pandemic. Marina designed each and every mask using fine lace and couture hand-stitching. This is fashion for the brides of tomorrow who are ready to accept whatever comes next.
