I am so lucky to have the opportunity to work with so many incredible brides whom I absolutely adore, but even in a world of amazing and incredible brides, there will still be standouts – and Kim was a true standout. From our first wedding planning meeting we were aligned every single step of the way – from color selections (Hunter green, merlot, peach, rich greens and matte gold) to the intense level of personalization that went into her day, our planning meetings were filled with creativity and bubbly excitement over every single detail. It felt like planning with a best friend, which is exactly how every bride should feel when working with their wedding planner. It’s such a blessing when you just know that you and your client are a perfect team!
St. Cecilia’s Church set the stage for a gorgeous ceremony. After, we held a “Bridal Parade” down Boylston Street as the Bridal Party and guests followed Brian and Kim to their reception at The Lenox Hotel. Bostonian’s honked their horns and cheered on the couple as they walked their parade route. It was such an awesome start to a killer reception.
Inviting Company created gorgeous letterpress invitations with velvet green bands and a custom monogram. Wouldn’t It Be Lovely Stationary created all of the masterful works of art for the day including the bias-cut seating chart banners, beautiful watercolor prints for the menus and signature cocktail signs and a stunning welcome sign. Peak Event Rentals went above and beyond in securing extra Hunter green velvet linens for all of the dining tables and Laura Jean Florals worked with our design concept (“Ralph Lauren Autumnal styling with a masculine-leaning edge”) to create rich textured centerpieces brimming with fall fruits, white and cream florals and rich greens. They tied every napkin with a small piece of leather to harken back to Kim’s equestrian background.
DJ T-Rex created the perfect dance party in The Dome Room of The Lenox – an iconic setting for a true Boston-based wedding day. Wedding Atelier provided Kim’s stunning “Martina Liana-designed” gown – and to capture every incredible moment of the day, Libby Nelson of All The Little Stories Photography was at the helm!
Every detail of this day was thought of with care and heartfelt dedication to representing the bride and groom. This was a deeply meaningful and incredibly emotional day and I am so grateful for having had the opportunity to plan and design this wonderful day.
