There is no such thing as a “perfect wedding day.” That expectation is unrealistic. No matter how carefully you plan for a perfect day, something that is outside of your control will happen that will throw things off just the slightest – whether Mother Nature decides to send in clouds or rain, or the peonies didn’t open completely overnight, or you chipped a nail. Perfection doesn’t exist and it’s important to remember that going into your wedding day. That being said – this is the closest I think we have ever come to a perfect wedding day.
The skies cleared in Newport with plenty of time for Brittany and Patrick to get married outside along the famous waterfront. Boston Pollen arrived with a VAN full of stunning tropical florals and DJ Peter O’Karma rolled in with his vinyl records ready to roll. Team Hummingbird was in rare form offering “flossing” tutorials to anyone who wasn’t clear on the new dance move in between designing the tablescapes and managing the timeline, and Mikhail Glabets, one of my all-time fave photographers captured every gorgeous moment of this super fun day.
To be clear – the bridal party was not comprised of off-duty models, although it would appear that that was the case. It WAS comprised of the kindest, most gracious and most fun bridal party members we’ve maybe ever encountered.
